    What's this YAMIA thing about?

    Greetings, and welcome to our national site. Our desire is that the youth ministries within the Anglican Mission be exceptional. To that end we have developed this site. The "we" I am referring to is a group of Godly, like-minded and dedicated volunteers within the Anglican Mission that I have the privelage to serve alongside and lead.

    Chris Zoephel, Coordinator of YAMIA

    Rev Chris Zoephel

    Involved in Youth Ministry for over 10 years, Rev Chris Zoephel has worked with junior highers, senior highers and those who act like these folks both as a paid staff member and as a volunteer in churches and para church organizations. These days most of his time is spent chasing his son around, keeping his office somewhat organized and trying to point others toward Christ. Currently Chris is on staff at Immanuel Anglican Church in Destin, FL as the Pastor of Discipleship (which includes being a youth pastor). Chris also serves as the National Coordinator of YAMIA.

    Curt Solomon

    Curt Solomon

    Curt Solomon is director of youth at The Church of the Apostles in Raleigh, North Carolina. "Fun for me is spending time in the woods with my dogs. In the "Old Days," a horse would have accompanied me, but more recently, I'm as pleased as pie swinging in my backyard in a big hammock."

    Paul Martin

    Paul has served in youth ministries across the United States for the past 15 years. He has a bachelors degree in commercial music and a masters degree in music education and served as a band director for four years before moving into full time youth ministry. Paul uses his passion for music and Christ to reach teens where they are to build connections that reach beyond most teen's time in youth ministry. He currently serves at St. Peter's Anglican Church in Birmingham, AL where he helps teens and families grow in their faith by leading worship and discipling the people of that church.

    Bo Bartlett

    Bo Bartlett resides in Palm Bay, Florida with his wife (Michelle) and two boys (JT and Tyler). He has been in Youth Ministry for five years as both a volunteer and paid staff. He currently works as a firefighter/paramedic as well as the Youth Missioner for Prince of Peace Anglican Church in Viera, Florida.

    Sheryl Curbow-Shaw

    Sheryl is the Youth & Missions Pastor at New Covenant Anglican Church. Her love for students and her heart for missions has kept her working in these areas for 24 years. She has traveled extensively around the world teaching and leading others in both missions training and youth training. Connecting with the body of Christ around the world, watching lives change, seeing miracles and just being part of God's story... I love it! Eating a slug? I could have skipped that part.

    Rev Jack Gabig, PhD

    Jack has been involved in youth and young adult ministries in the U.S. and U.K. for more than 23 years. He is a graduate of Trinity School for Ministry in Pittsburgh (M.Div. 1995), and completed his Ph.D. research at King's College, London (2007), looking at the role of popular culture in the religious lives of American teenagers. He is currently the Director of the Young Anglicans Project encouraging a rethinking of the nature of Christian Education in Anglican churches in America. Additionally, he is a faculty member of both Trinity and Nashotah House Anglican Seminaries.

    Ryan Hofacre

    Ryan Hofacre serves as youth pastor at Church of the Redeemer in Highland Park, Illinois. Ryan holds a Master of Divinity degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and is currently pursuing ordination in the Anglican Mission. Ryan says he is privileged to be a part of working with youth in AMiA.

    Jason Miller

    Jason Miller serves as the editor and designer of the YAMiA.net site on behalf of the Anglican Mission in the Americas. He resides near Chicago with his wife Danielle and son Brennen. In addition to his work as a freelance designer and consultant, he is a poet, teacher and aspiring missionary. He is a member of Church of the Redeemer.
